The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has signed a partnership agreement with Oliver Mtukudzi which will see the national broadcaster, screening the much awaited Tuku@60 Music Bash to celebrate Mtukudzi's birthday.

The birthday bash will be graced by renowned artists from the region who include Ringo, and Judith Sepuma among others.

ZBC Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Retired Brigadier General Elliot Kasu, who spoke on behalf of the corporation, said ZBC has entered into a partnership to add value to the local music industry as one of the mandates of the national broadcaster is to promote talent.

Retired Brigadier Kasu said the partnership will see ZBC acquiring the rights to broadcast the event, giving a platform for other stations to screen the music bash as well as advertising space for businesses.

Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi said he is happy with the development as ZBC has over the years played a leading role in shaping his career when he ventured into the music industry.

Mtukudzi, who has returned from a successful tour of Europe with his band, is turning 60 on the 22nd of September and will celebrate the gift of life with friends and fans at Glamis Arena set for the night of Friday the 21st of September.

The signing ceremony was attended by ZBC management and committee members of the Tuku@ 60 Music Bash.
