Miss Bulawayo pageant set for kickoff

Twenty six BEAUTIES are set to battle it out for the city's superb crown at the Miss Bulawayo pageant.
Both new and regular faces in modeling circles will vie for top honours at the finale to be held on Saturday at the Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel.
Reigning Miss Zimbabwe, who is also Miss Bulawayo, Bongani Dhlakama is expected to hand over the title at this event.
Pageant organiser, Sarah Mpofu said it was all systems go as models were adequately prepared for the day.
"The models have been preparing for the past three weeks, morale is high in camp and choreography is going on well. Our guest of honour has already confirmed," said Mpofu.
This year's beauty contest would be held under the theme "Vinter Wintage", a blend of Vintage and Winter wear.
Entertainment at the event will be provided by Hip-hop group, Alchemy and all female group The Divas.
"We have invited very professional judges and our Master of Ceremonies would be none other than the hilarious Babongile Sikhonjwa.
"We would like to commend the Bulawayo business community as well as Delta Beverages for their support," said Mpofu.
The 26 models are not only from Bulawayo, but from all the Matabeleland Provinces.
