15 Feb 2012 at 08:30hrs | Views
Christopher Mlalazi recently released his latest short documentary (2 minutes) of one of Africa's finest painters hailing from the city of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, Rashid Jogee.
Rashid is famous for his abstract paintings, but in the documentary, we see his old work dating from 1998 to 2001 where he was doing life drawings.
These paintings are now on exhibition at the National Gallery in Harare.
This is part of the short documentaries I am making of artists from Bulawayo in a project Mlalazi has titled VISUALISING BULAWAYO IN PAINTINGS.
