Dancer Beverly Sibanda popularly known as Bev has fired Tariro Chabveka, one of her dancers owing to her alleged sexual orientation.

Bev said she found it proper to fire Chabveka, whom she accused of being a lesbian, so as to save the image of the group, Sexy Angels.

"I fired her because she is a lesbian. I do not want lesbians in my group. People were labelling me a lesbian leader because of her and it was so embarrassing," she said.

When Chabveka was asked for comment, she was bitter and denies Bev's accusations.

"I was not fired by Bev but I just left the group to pursue greener pastures. I am not a lesbian and I have a boyfriend.I am in a steady relationship, why should I date other girls yet men are there? The truth of the matter is that there are two lesbians in the Sexy Angels group but I wonder why Bev has accused me alone," said Chabveka.

Chabveka has moved from Sexy Angels to join Bev's "rival" group the Red Angels fronted by Zoey Noleen.

The issue of homosexuality has been widely condemned in Africa and has since sparked debate in the country and President Robert Mugabe always speaks out against homosexuality in Zimbabwe and he blames Western countries such as Britain for trying to wipe out human kind and reverse nature.

"I want to see the man who is able to make men present hereto be pregnant for nine months. The devil cannot do it. The Europeans want to destroy nature and destroy humankind. "Let us never, never ever accept homosexuality," Mugabe said recently.

The 21-year-old dancer, Bev came into limelight after she pulled out from the Red Angels to form her own dancing group Sex Angels.
