"Senior Lecturer" Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria will next Saturday be heading to Esigodini, where he is expected to perform at Jabulani Inn.
The "senior lecturer's" show is going to be curtain raised by local musician Derrick Majaivana and the Zulu band.
In an interview, promoter Jorum Moyo said preparations for the much-awaited gig were now at an advanced stage.
"As a promotions company our policy is to bring a variety of music to our fans and this time we have decided to bring then 'Senior Lecturer' to Esigodini.
"As we speak the preparations for the gig are now at an advanced stage," he said.
Moyo said the show is going to be used as a platform to give exposure to up-and-coming musicians who are still trying to make an impact in the music industry.
"It is part of our policy as an entertainment organisation to give up-and-coming musicians a platform to perform with musical legends like Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria.
"On this gig we are expecting our very own Derrick Majaivana to be part of the entertaining team before the 'Senior Lecturer' can take to the stage," he said.
Moyo said the 'Senior Lecturer' has promised his fans value for their money, as his group is more than ready for the show.
"The last time I spoke to Madzibaba he was confident and he even promised nothing but the best from this show.
"Chances are very high that he might play one or two songs from his forthcoming album," he said.
On the other hand Madzibaba applauded the music promoter for giving up-and-coming musicians an opportunity to perform on such gigs.
"I am really honoured to be given an opportunity to perform with up-and-coming musicians like Derrick Majaivana.
"I hope the young musician is going to benefit a lot as he has shared the stage with the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi and many other musicians," he said.
Madzibaba said fans should expect nothing but the best on the forthcoming gig.
"Everyone in the band in raring to go, so fans should come expecting nothing but the best," he said.
