Bulawayo rap group Kasi Lunatics have bounced back with a new single, months after they last released new music.

The single, titled Going hard, is the second single from the group's up coming album, titled Life on Mars. The first single, Masenza so was released in July last year.

In an interview member of the group, Talent "Krusty" Kaseke said that the song was their official introduction to the year after a period of silence. The beat for the song was produced by Kudzi from the production house First Class who also produced the hit track Mabomba by fellow rapper POY.

"The concept of the song Going Hard is sort of introduction to Kasi-lunatics into the year. It is our little way of saying we are not laying back this year but we are "going hard", he said.

Krusty said people should look forward to the up coming album as they will be bringing forth a new sound that local hip hop lovers had not heard before. He said they were eyeing a win at the Zimbabwe hip hop awards with this latest project.

"The album is set to be released later this year and I can promise that it will be a turning stone for hip hop in Bulawayo. We are creating a sound which is epic and different thus our goal is to scoop a Zimbabwe hip hop award by the end of the year," he said.

He said that they were hoping to make music that was to the liking of everyone regardless of age or background.

"This will be our debut album so we are hoping to come out with a timeless classic which appeals to everyone regardless of age or ethnic background," he said.

The group is made up of four talented artistes who hail from Mzilikazi suburb. They are Godfrey "R.A.P.Z" Mpofu, Saziso "Subzero" Moyo, Talent "Krusty" Kaseke and Freddy "B-Milez" Maseko.
