Preparations for the inaugural Bulawayo Cultural Festival of the Arts running under the theme "Gabaza ngobuntu bakho (Be proud of identity)" are at an advanced stage.
The cultural fiesta is slated for April 26 to 27 at the National Arts Gallery.
Organisers of the event said everything was in place and were hoping to have a successful debut.
"We hope to make this event an annual event in the culture, arts and entertainment calendar of not only for the province, but Zimbabwe as a whole," said Butshilo Nleya, leader of the organising team.
The inaugural festival befit Bulawayo, a city renowned for its diverse culture.
The organisers said they hoped the community initiative would grow into a fully fledged festival that celebrates human diversity and creativity like Intwasa Arts Festival that is hosted in the same city which played host to regional and international artistes.
