NEWLY formed Bulawayo-based musical group, Born Free Crew (Bulawayo), are set to release a song titled Pemberera/Jabula to celebrate President Mugabe and Zanu-PF's victory in the just-ended harmonised elections.

The song will be released on Monday. In an interview, the group's spokesperson Sithabile Ncube said the production was almost complete.

"We have done everything and what is left is mixing as well as mastering which will be done over the weekend. We expect the song to be out on Monday," she said.

The group has sisters Sithabile, Thembelani and Ncube and being assisted by Joshua Thulani Chakavanda from the group Triple T.

Sithabile said they intend to recruit more members.

"Minister of Information and Publicity, Webster Shamu, encouraged us to form this group. We want to add more members in the coming months," she said.

The group is already working in collaboration with Born Free Crew (Harare) on a song titled Komborerai Zimbabwe, which will be out at the end of September. Born Free Crew (Harare) has done a number of songs and is already an established group.

Some of their songs include Gushungo, Nguva YeRhodesia and Ndarangarira Magamba, which were recorded by Amos Mahendere.

Tabi said fans should expect a much different type of music from the one of Born Free Crew (Harare).

"This is a different group from the Harare crew and we will not be doing the same style. We want to have our own," she said.
