OUSTED Big Brother Africa (BBA) The Chase contestant Pokello Nare has declared that she is probably the most popular woman in Africa following her participation in the reality TV show.

The controversial BBA participant, who has been in the limelight for both good and bad reasons, said this during a tour of Bulawayo that was graced by her father, Retired Colonel George Nare, at a local bakery and popular hangout that attracted her fans who wanted to get pictures with the socialite.

She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she received from her father, even when she was in the BBA house. She described him as the backbone of her success.

Pokello said despite all the controversy and "dark time" she went through following the release of her tape, her father remained a pillar of strength and resolute, a character trait that most parents do not possess in such instances.

The rather shy looking belle spent most of the time fiddling with her mobile phone during the interview with her eyes covered in brown shades.

"I am probably the most popular woman in the whole of Africa following my stay in the house. This has opened so many doors than you can imagine and my father has been there and supporting me all the way.

I hadn't spent time with him and this gives me the opportunity to be with him and thank him for all he has done. This tour to Bulawayo was never going to be successful if he was not there for me. He has been an icon," she said.

The fashion icon, who was dressed to the tee in an earthly coloured skirt and white top, said although she had been eliminated from Big Brother, the road was not over for her as she had landed acting roles in Nigeria, although she could not shed light on the issue.

"Life does not end here for me even though I was evicted from the Big Brother house. I am hoping to venture into acting and I have landed two acting roles in Nigeria although I will not shed more light on that as it is a deal that is yet to be processed. I am not good at acting but I will learn and I am raring to go," she said.

The entrepreneur said she has plans to expand her shoe empire to Bulawayo and a clothing line that will run under the brand "Queen of Swagger", is set to take the city by storm.

"I have plans of expanding to Bulawayo. Pokello's Addicted to Shoes will be here one day and I also want to start a clothing line too," she said.

Pokello, while on set, had a relationship with Elikem, a BBA participant from Ghana. She, however, declined to discuss her relationship status.

"I cannot say anything now about my relationship with him but we will see when he comes out. I am sure he will take the prize home though," she said.

Rtd Col Nare said he was supportive of her and would back her in her relationship with Elikem.

"Even though there is so much controversy surrounding her, I am going to back her relationship. I cannot go against her will and it is my role to support her. People have to understand that things change with time and without criticism, you are nothing. I am fully behind her," he said.

Pokello said despite all that has been going on, her father remained her father and would always support her.
