Newly introduced bond notes have sent shock waves among international artists scheduled to perform in the country in the coming weeks.
Jamaican reggae superstar Jah Cure is one such act..
He is billed to hold a show on December 16 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) and has since sought clarification from one of the organizers.
"What is a bond note," Jah Cure asked in a whatsapp conversation.
"Some form of currency introduced to ease the cash crisis" was the reply.
2 Kings Entertainment are the promoters of Jah Cure's first tour of Zimbabwe.
Jah Cure has failed to travel to Harare on numerous occasions due to various reasons.
Locally, bond notes are still facing resistance from the business community in carrying out transactions.
Last week, the central bank issued $12 million in US dollar-equivalent "bond notes", ignoring resistance from citizens and companies who feared a return to the days of hyperinflation.
