Traditional Chief records a gospel album

WHO will adjudicate traditional matters?
This is a question one may be tempted to ask after getting the news that a traditional leader ventures into a soul winning campaign of gospel music.
Chief Mduduzi Dlodlo of Sigola area in Umzingwane district has taken the leadership role to another level by being the first traditional leader to record a gospel album.
The chief is also a pastor at Emanuel Wesleyan church. He. leads an eight member group, Enqameni gospel choir with his wife and nephew.
The traditional leader-cum-man of cloth has promised to take the world by storm when he launches his first album.
He is the composer of all the songs and the album was recorded and produced by Nkosi Mlangeni of Don Studio.
"It is high time people turn to God. It does not matter what position one holds in the society.
"Traditional leaders are known for pursuing and upholding cultural activities and I am there to defy the odds," he said.
"It is disturbing that people today sing gospel for material gains and their behaviour is not exemplary. They live according to the desires of the flesh," he said.
Dlodlo started his musical carrier when he was at school, but did not have the opportunity to record an album due to lack of finance.
