The year 2012 consummated the marriage between music and football as Dynamos torched the country with Alick Macheso's 'Zora Butter' fame to make it the national dance.

Some have dubbed it the national anthem of dances for 2012 as it permeated every sphere, it broke all boundaries from religion, sport, arts and even on the political front.

But to the mastermind of the 'Zora Butter' dance, Alick Macheso how it gained such acclaim still remains a mystery.

Macheso however says he is amazed how others have taken the song literally and are spreading butter on their bodies.

The Sungura icon says the Warriors' failure to qualify for AFCON 2013 denied him a chance to inscribe the 'Zora Butter' dance on the global scene and possibly bring it to the esteem levels of other such football dances like the Mexican Wave.

On a lower level, the 'Zora Butter' dance has crossed oceans and frontiers and has gone as far as Brazil.

For Macheso, the dance grew into the hit dance because it is easy to dance to than his other forms such as Chikopokopo, Slomo, Borrowdale and Cheka-cheka.

The year 2013 will see another younger brother of 'Zora Butter' coming in to make the celebration headlines this time in the form of 'Kochekera.'
