DENDERA star Tryson "Dr Nero" Chimbetu is set to release his fourth album in March, which is expected to intensify the battle currently underway for the Dendera crown in the Chimbetu extended family.

Sulumani Chimbetu recently released his latest offering Syllabus, which made quite an impact on the market and has been rated arguably his best so far.

Tryson told NewsDay that all the groundwork for the album had been done and that fans should expect it on the market by the end of March.

"Most stages have been covered and the album is taking shape. We are now finalising some of the songs and we are confident we have put enough effort to give our fans an excellent product," said Tryson. He said some of the songs on the upcoming album included Ndondo, Pahotera, Godo, Bhora Mberi and Simba.

The Kumapako hit maker added that he would be offering a completely new package to his fans.

"I am ready to give the new product to my fans and I am happy with the response that I get when I play some of the new songs at my shows. I play most of the songs at all my shows so that fans can sample what we are preparing for them," Tryson added.

At a recent gala held in Gokwe, Tryson lit up the show and charmed thousands of merrymakers with the song Ndondo, which he complemented with a new dance called "chirauro".

He said he would also engage the corporate world for sponsorship of the album launch which he said his cousin Sulumani would attend.

Tryson has three albums - Marxist Revival, Bvamuroad and Nguva yaChimbetu - in which he featured the sungura maestro Alick Macheso.

The 24-year-old musician is known for titling his albums with names that take fans down memory lane to the unforgettable times of the late Simon and Naison Chimbetu. His music has been equated with previous albums of the late Chimbetus and has been received well by fans.
