Macheso's marriage hit turbulent waters?

UNCONFIRMED reports yesterday suggested that Alick Macheso's marriage to Tafadzwa Mapako hit turbulent waters last week. This might have prompted the fast-tracking of the third marriage yesterday.
A family source told H-Metro yesterday that Macheso overheard Tafadzwa's telephone conversation in which she seemed uncommitted and planning to move to the UK as early as next week. "Macheso eavesdropped a telephone conversation between Tafadzwa and an unidentified friend. It was during this telephone conversation Tafadzwa told her friend that Macheso's wealth was turning him into a big-headed husband who thinks he is very rich.
"She also told the friend that she wanted to discipline him . . . "This threat did not go down well with Macheso who then ganged up with Nyadzisai and went to confront Tafadzwa over the issue. "She admitted phoning a friend and Macheso then summoned his mother from the rural areas to come to his Chitungwiza house on the same day," said the source. It was said that a kangaroo court was convened at his Chitungwiza house on Thursday last week to discuss the matter.
Tafadzwa was reportedly tongue-tied and only sobbed throughout the kangaroo court proceedings that were presided over by Mbuya Macheso. Mbuya Macheso was still in Chitungwiza yesterday when H-Metro visited the place. The source who was privy to the Macheso saga had a mouthful to say.
"During the meeting Macheso indicated that he was very despondent about what his second wife had been saying, which seemed to suggest that arikubatabata.
The matter was then left hanging since Macheso was supposed to attend the Independence gala held in Gweru last Thursday. "But Tafadzwa and her husband attended the gala together," continued the source. Macheso is reported to have snubbed a cake prepared by Tafadzwa. The cake was eventually devoured by Orchestra Mberikwazvo band members.
It was a Nyadzisai-Tafadzwa showdown when Cheso returned from the Easter shows. Tafadzwa is said to have stormed her husband's Chitungwiza house where she fumed at Nyadzisai. "That is when the truth unfolded. Today (yesterday) Tafadzwa ordered Macheso to collect all his clothes from her place in Eastlea. They drove to her place and I am convinced that he collected the clothes and brought them home," said the source.
This mission (collecting of clothes) was done just before Nyadzisai joined the delegation to Murewa where they were supposed to pay lobola for Macheso's latest flame, their maid! Or ex-maid rather.
Macheso remained mum when asked to explain his relationship with Tafadzwa.
He just shook his head and said: "People just say a lot of things. I don't have anything to say about that matter." Attempts to engage Tafadzwa hit a brickwall yesterday as she was not available on her mobile.
When reporters visited her Eastlea home, the initial impression from her relative was that she was in. But when the relative went back to reveal the visitors' the message was that Tafadzwa was NOT in. As the story unfolds, H-Metro will keep you up-to-date!
