Gwambe Stars founder dies

Gwambe Stars founder and singer Gadzani Tshangule Ndlovu has died at the age of 30.

Ndlovu had not been feeling well for about a month and passed on last night.

He started his musical journey at the age of 5.

He formed Gwambe Stars in 2007 in his home area of Gwambe village in Plumtree.

Ndlovu recorded his first album titled 'Okhokho' in 2007, his second album 'Sesibuyile' was recorded in 2009 and became a hit.

A video was also recorded for Sesibuyile.

The group's third album called 'Umhlaba' was released in 2011.

At the time of Ndlovu's untimely death, Gwambe Stars was in the studio working on a new album.

Ndlovu was the lead singer and used to play the rhythm guitar for the group.

Remaining band members include Mthandazo Masiza Ndlovu (backing vocals), Phikelela Madololo Ncube (bass guiter) and Ntobeko Mpfulili Nkomo (leadman).
