A group of 100 single people, comprised of 62 females and 38 males will converge in Chisipite for the first of its kind dating event dubbed "Meet the Singles Harare".
The show which is a brain child of Sibusiso Media will take place at Number 58 Harare Drive this Friday starting from 6pm to 10pm.
Fidelis Fengu Chief Operations Officer and founder of Sibusiso Media said everything was in place for the show.
"This is the first speed dating event. This is an event where we get single guys and single girls and we give them a minute to meet each other.
"And if you are able to charm somebody in one minute, you will then be given their contacts and if you fail to charm, well we will have another event next time.
"The idea is to have everybody talk to everybody within a space of one hour, so it is a minute for everyone. If a minute is up, you move to the next chair and you give the person room to talk to the person.
"We want to promote a situation where people get to meet in controlled environments and probably start dating relationships, courtship and will successfully lead to marriage at some point," said Fidelis.
Some background checks were conducted on all who had applied to take part so as to make sure that it is strictly a singles affair.
If one is successful, they will either be called or they will meet the date again and if you fail, that will be the end of the road for them.
For one to attend they have to pay $10 and 10 percent of all proceeds goes to charity.
