Dancer-cum-musician Beverly Sibanda has stamped her authority on the musical dome following her inclusion in the 2013 edition of the National FM Top 50 on New Year's Eve.
Sibanda's manager Harpers Mapimhidze told the Daily News that he and Bev's group Sexy Angels were excited by the development.
"The development shows that at least people have accepted Bev as a musician. There are a lot of established musicians who failed to make it in the Top 50," he said.
Sibanda's song Tshaingoma was on number 27 and is from the album Tapinda released late last year.
Sibanda said the development gave her confidence as a musician, hence she is planning to drop a second one featuring Shinsoman this year.
"When I announced my arrival in the music industry many people did not take me seriously until I launched Tapinda.
"The album is doing well and people only took me seriously after they saw respected artistes such as Freddy Gwala, Dr Tawanda and Shiga Shiga all featuring on the project.
"Being selected into National FM Top 50 gave me confidence to release more albums.
"I was born an entertainer and I am not looking back in terms of music. As of now I am concentrating on polishing my stage act and anytime soon I will drop a gem with Shinsoman.
"I am rushing to release more albums such that it will be easier for me to spend a whole night on stage performing," she said.
Sungura musician Alick Macheso headlined both Radio Zimbabwe and National FM Top 50 with his song Macharangwanda last year.
Macharangwanda is on Macheso's latest album Kwatakabva Mitunhu (Kure Kwekure) and it was released in 2012.
Extra Kwazvose's hit Gurajena off their debut album Ndizvo Zviripo was on third position while Mathias Mhere's Number Busy clinched fourth position.
Ninja President Winky D real name Wallace Chirumiko's hit Mafirakureva was on fifth position while, Peter Moyo's Konzi was on number six, Gift Amuli's Bhora Mberi was on the seventh position and dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu was on eighth position with Sean Timba.
