Plumtree-born singer based in South Africa and founder of Thabo Arts Academy and Amaborder Voices leader Thabo Nkomo has composed a song dedicated to popular Highlanders Football Club.

Nkomo said the song Bosso is aimed at revitalising the spirit of the followers of the Bulawayo football giants, popularly known as Bosso.

The track is contained in Nkomo's 12-track Afro-jazz album Ngibuza Kuwe set for release in April.

The Amaborder Voices star posted on his Facebook wall over the weekend apparently canvassing for support for the track.

"If Highlanders and all their fans do not accept my Bosso track, I vow to never ever wear black and white on stage and never to sing or write any Bosso poems and songs!

"I am proud of my new Bosso track! YiHighlander mama," the accomplished poet, who has written several dedication poems for Bosso, said.

Nkomo shared with Southern Eye part of the lyrics of the poetic track Bosso which is sung in Ndebele:

Ngumtshina kababa lo
Umtshinaozitshintshayo,
Udum' useMagumeni koNtuthuziyathunqa
Udum' emagumeni abanye abantu . . .
Silitshelile
Singabanqobi . . .

Nkomo projects launching an album with the Bosso track in April this year.
