AFRO-jazz musician Ringo Madlingozi can't wait to perform in Umlazi, Durban on the eve of Valentine's day.
Daily Sun reported that the Sondela hitmaker will perform his romantic songs live at Eyadini Lounge on Saturday at the Valentine's Special event.
Ringo said the event hopes to bring love, joy and happiness to people living in the township.
"We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day ekasi style.
"We want to stop the perception that big events should only be held in big cities. People won't have to travel long distances to town just to watch me perform.
"Big events should be hosted where our fans live."
Ringo added that they chose Umlazi because it's one of biggest townships in South Africa.
"I will perform my songs to encourage people to really love one another.
"People who want to show how much they love their partners must come to the event," he said.
Ringo will share the stage with Mondli Ngcobo, Joocy, DJ Siyanda, DJ Muntu, DJ Jackson, Sbo Da Poet and the MC will be comedian Felix Hlophe.
Gates open at 12pm and tickets are available at Computicket for R200 and R350.
