Daily Sun reported that the controversial gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane is breathing fire. He has had a tip-off that another singer is imitating him and selling pirated CDs of his music! Sfiso told Daily Sun: "I was told by a relative about this man and it made me angry.
"My relative said he plays my CD and pretends to sing like me. When my relative confronted him, he said he was sent by me."
He said the singer usually performs in Isipingo, near Durban.
"I'm saying he must not sing my songs when he performs at a concert or an event. He provokes me if he plays my CD and pretends to be singing like me to make money," said Sfiso.
What made him the most angry was that the singer was selling pirated CDs for between R5 and R10.
"Recording an album is very expensive, and many music shops are closing down because of piracy," he said.
The gospel star said he was busy with a new project due to be released in June.
"I have been advised by friends in the police to open a case because I want this man to be jailed."
Sfiso posted a Facebook message asking his fans for help.
S'phamandla Khoza replied: "I once heard him and I thought he was sent by you. I was confused when he sold the CDs for R10 each."
Linda Khanyile wrote: "Your voice will never be crushed by criminals. We know you very well."
Sfiso said if fans helped him find the man, he wouldn't hurt him, but it would help him to protect his work.
