When Darlington Chikwewo also known as Young DLC, enrolled at Boston College (Johannesburg campus) in early 2015, his intentions were to study music production at Soul Candi Institute of Music. He also had a wish to meet one of his role models, DJ Fresh from 5fm. Although he is yet to meet Fresh, the young talented lad has just made an achievement most young artists his age only have as dreams.

This past week, the CEO of Housepital Records from Netherlands, signed one song by the Zimbabweans-born 19 year old Young DLC, for publishing and marketing worldwide. The song to be published by Housepital Records is called Don't Stop.

A semi-finalist at Rage 2015 Reload DJ Competition, Young DLC is an Electronic Dance Music producer, DJ and artist, who has to this date, produced enough material to compile two albums. However Young DLC says he will only decide how to release the rest of his music later, although he has another publishing offer from Sheer Music Group.

"My focus now is to get my music on local SA radio stations and most probably do a video for my first local single, Don't Stop. I am also looking for more opportunities for me to play at Electronic Dance Music festivals here in South Africa and abroad, because I love the stage and seeing people dance to young music" says Young DLC

"Young DLC is a multi-talented hardworking youngster and with his passion for music, it is only a matter of time before more doors start opening for him. We are pleased with his progress so far, but we will be happy when his music has been playlisted on local radio. His latest remix of Mukoko by Amara Brown and Tytan is doing well in Zimbabwe, and that is something we are proud of." Tendai Joe, Young DLC's manager.

Most of the best-known DJs in the EDM scene and the world hail from the Netherlands, including Tiësto,Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Fedde le Grand, Hardwell, Showtek and Afrojack; all of whom consistently rank high in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs and other rankings.
