Pole dancers Zoey Noleen Sifelani and Beverly Sibanda - who have had a stormy relationship for several years - have decided to put aside their differences.

The two "rivals" will jointly celebrate their birthdays at the City Sports Bar in Harare tomorrow.

Bev turned 25 on April 23 while tomorrow's event will coincide with Zoey's 29th birthday.

In a joint interview with the Daily News yesterday, the two claimed the animosity that used to characterise their relationship was now a thing of the past.

"The storm is over. We are sisters and that is why we have sisterly quarrels here and there. Haters should desist from the habit of interfering in our affairs.

"We have come a long way together and we still have a long way to go together," said Zoey.

Bev, who was introduced to pole dancing by Zoey, also confirmed the joint birthday bash.

"Since both our birthdays are in April, we have decided to have one big party at the City Sports Bar.

"We are both looking forward to the event," Bev said.

The joint birthday bash will be graced by upcoming artiste Andy Muridzo who is rumoured to be Bev's new boyfriend; dendera star Suluman Chimbetu, Talking Guitars and several dance groups such as Syndicate, Unique, Freak Babie Dolls, Cream Lolipop, Fearless, Explosion and Palafala.

Dancers Association of Zimbabwe president Harpers Mapimhidze told the Daily News that his organisation was proud to be associated with the birthday celebrations of the country's most iconic dancers.

"It is our wish to hold a birthday bash for all our members. On Wednesday, the day will be for Bev and Zoey who are without doubt Zimbabwe's most celebrated dancers," he said.
