ENERGETIC dancer, singer and actress Sandra Ndebele is back in full force after taking a break from the music industry to focus on her family and her new baby.
Sandy, as she is affectionately known in the music industry, told Sunday Life that she was back in full-time performing.
"I am back in full force and will be performing all around the country and also promoting my latest album Izenzo that I released last year. Despite having gained a bit of some weight, I will still be doing my dancing routines with as much energy as usual. I still have the same energy that I had when I entered the music industry and my dances are here to stay," she said.
She added that she could balance her roles as a mother, a wife, a businesswoman and an artiste.
"I am able to juggle and balance all my demands that is being a wife, a mother, a businesswoman and also a performing artiste. My mother has also been supportive. She takes care of my kids while I am out performing," she said.
She spoke highly of her family support, in particular her husband who she said has been her pillar of strength.
"I wake up in the morning and take my kids to school. While my kids are at school that is when I go for rehearsals and take my kids from school after work. I also make sure I also do other duties around town and at the same time go home and cook for my family. It's not a headache to me being a mum and a wife, it's actually interesting," she added.
Sandra said she has had her fair share of challenges having been in the music industry for almost a decade.
"Challenges are always there but as a person one needs to brace up. Right now there is competition and younger talent is coming up so I have to practice and keep up appearances," she said.
She said the sky was the limit as she was dreaming big and one day wishes to see herself sharing the stage with America's Beyonce.
"I am still young and I was lucky to gain fame whilst I was still a teen. I still have ample time to prove my worth in the showbiz and I am nowhere close to retirement in the industry. I will continue to perform till I am 40 and one day I wish to see myself sharing the stage with Beyonce," she said.
Ndebele rose to fame as part of Iyasa at Mpopoma High School. She has since shared the stage with almost all the popular artistes in the country including the likes of Alick Macheso and Oliver Mutukudzi, among many others.
In her latest offering Izenzo, she collaborated with the man of the moment — Mukudzei Mukombe popularly known as Jah Prayzah.
