Top entertainers Alick Macheso and Oliver Mtukudzi are geared up for their joint shows in the United Kingdom this month.
The two acclaimed musicians are scheduled to perform in Leeds on July 29 and Leicester the following day. Organised by Phab Entertainment and Icons of Africa the shows are meant to give the two musicians another opportunity to interact with their fans in the Diaspora.
Phil Wakabikwa of Phab entertainment said the two musicians have their new albums that need to be introduced live to their fans in foreign lands.
"The tour is an opportunity for Macheso fans to interact with him and see him performing his new album for the first time. Tuku/Macheso combination is the biggest and most consistent in UK since 2003 and always attracts a full house in Leicester," he said.
Macheso manager Tich Makahamadze said they were doing serious rehearsals for the shows.
"The guys are busy now doing rehearsals because only 10 members are going for the show," he said.
It is yet to be seen how the musician will come up with the lineup following the return of Noel Nyazanda, Obert Gomba and Jonasi Kasamba.
The return of the trio gives the musician headache as he has several members who can play the same instruments.
"We have already solved that because those who will be going to UK will not go to Ireland in our next tour and they have accepted that," said Makahamadze.
He said they were looking forward to the tour as they introduce their album "Tsoka Dzerwendo" to the people there.
"When they performed there last time the new album had not been released. These are going to be exciting moments for them as they will getting the new songs live," he said.
Mtukudzi who is yet to launch his album "Ehe Nhai Yahwe" is expected to perform the songs at the show.
Sam Mataure Mtukudzi's manager said they were looking forward to the show as they will be performing alongside Macheso.
"Macheso is on top of his game now with his album doing well on the markets so we are looking forward to the show," said Mataure.
