FRESH from a successful European tour, Nobuntu, the all-female imbube group, is now preparing to travel to Swaziland next month.

The ensemble, which is made up of Duduzile Sibanda, Thandeka Moyo, Joyline Sibanda, Zanele Manhenga and Heather Dube, will leave the country on September 4 for a performance at the Alliance Francaise in Mbabane on September 8 and 9. They will also attend a workshop in Mbabane on Women in Arts.

One of the group members Zanele Manhenga said they were thrilled to be sharing their music with followers from other parts of the region.

"We're extremely excited to be performing in Mbabane. To celebrate women's month, we're going to be holding a workshop with women in arts during our stay there," said Manhenga.

Another member Thandeka Moyo said: "All our songs highlight different scenarios in our Zimbabwean and African setup. We use different languages to celebrate the beauty of being Zimbabwean above anything else."

The group is riding high with their second album Ekhaya. Their singles, Woza Ngane and Narini have been doing well on local radio charts. Last month, the group toured Italy, Austria and Germany where they were received well by audiences there.
