Thirteen member Zion Christian Church Kumukakuvakafa (ZCCK) Brass Band stole the show at the NetOne 'Ignite Mbiri Yedu Trail' maize meal donation last Thursday at Rutenga Primary School with their energy sapping dances.

They started slowly with their popular trumpets and saxophones producing a low sound such that nobody seemed to notice their presence.

It was only after the official program was over that they showed what they are made of as they pounded the ground with their feet that one would feel sorry for the ground, swerving from one end to the other in unison.

The three women dancers would take turns to entertain the delegates with their routine dance where they will be going forward as if they are about to collide only for them to abruptly stop much to the delight of the viewers.

They played a number of NetOne songs that they composed for the occassion but the most popular ones were 'NetOne 20 years Tichingofona', 'Knock Knock NetOne Usarambe Kudaira' which the delegates would sing along.

Midway through the song they introduced the one that sent everyone on their toes, 'NetOne Chikopokopo Regai Timofonawo kanhi' in praise of the State owned company which is the fastest growing mobile network provider in terms of subscriber number.

Bishop Lyphet Matenda Mugaviri and his brother Lambert Matenda could not be left out although donning a suite he sprang into action and started throwing up his legs and hands resembling a helicopter sending the delegates in party mood in a scotching heat.

ZCCK an off shoot of ZCC led by Dr Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi was established in 1976 in Mapuranga Village under Chief Mawarire and has the biggest following in the area.
