A dilapidated footbridge in Highfield Machipisa shopping centre in Harare has been made functional again by Edzai Isu arts group.
The footbridge was now being used as a public toilet and one would not stand close due to excessive bad smell from human waste.
Edzai Isu managed to clean it and use it as a venue for their talent promotion.
Bulawayo24.com visited their venue and saw various artist and revellers enjoying themselves on the bridge.
The director for Edzai Isu Tafadzwa Muzondo said they sought authority from the municipality of Harare to clean and use the bridge to promote local talent.
"As kuedza we were worried about the decay of the bridge hence we approached the council and they gave us green light to clean up and use the bridge.
"We invite artists every Friday and Saturday here from High glen," said Muzondo.
Several upcoming artists, dancing queens and Kireni Zulu brought smiles to people of Highfield with their splendid performance.
