It appears the brand new comedy programme introduced at HIFA is a roaring success midway through the festival as great numbers have turned up so far and been entertained by the collection of international comedians put together by Carl Joshua Ncube.

The first day of the festival started with an amazing lineup of comedians from IRELAND, CANADA and our very own ZIMBABWEAN at REPS theatre where an almost capacity crowd LAUGHED the night away as the comedians delivered a teaser show to die for.

Canadian comedian Dana Alexander kick started the solo shows with an impeccable professional and hilarious performance followed by South African comedian Carvin Goldstone the next day who proved why he should be the coloured president as he left Harare audiences in stitches.

The comedy festival director Carl Joshua Ncube was extremely happy with the turnout for the 3 comedy shows so far and is upbeat about the weekend shows that feature Aidan Killian from Ireland, Doc Vikela representing Zimbabwe and of course Carl's show which closes off a FESTIVAL that Carl admits has already been a success.
