New Zimbabwean celebrity, former Big Brother Stargame housemate Maneta Mazanhi is expected to reunite with fellow ex-housemate Rockford 'Roki' Josphats at a gig slated for the City Sports bar in Harare.
Maneta will appear as a special guest at the concert where Roki is slated to excite fans.
Since coming back, parties have been held for the two in upmarket venues and Roki has also performed at Harare International Conference Centre alongside Oliver Mtukudzi, Suluman Chimbetu, Diana Samkange and Jah Prayzah.
Performing at City Sports Bar will give Roki's fans from the other side of town a chance to catch a glimpse of the exciting urban groover. The presence of Maneta will add something more to look forward to.
The bar proprietor, Biggie Chinoperekwei, confirmed the coming gig saying preparations are at an advanced stage. "Roki will be performing with a full band this Friday and it will be his first concert since he came from the BBA."
"We found it worthwhile to include his former housemate Maneta in the equation as people are yearning to interact with her. We hope this platform will allow her fans to get up-close," he said.
Chinoperekwei said the Bulawayo-based former BBA star will be awarded an opportunity to mix and mingle with her fans in the cosy Mubako bar inside City sports bar.
Chinoperekwei said this is a show not to be missed as most people are used to watching Roki performing solo but this time the talented artiste will be with a live band.
Roki burst into the limelight in 2002 with the hit Seiko, a song he collaborated with Leonard Mapfumo. His music is centred on love, death themes and he seeks to address the difference between Western and African culture.
In 2007 the artiste, branded a bad boy, shook the entertainment scene with his smash hit Chidzoka (come back) which his fans believed was dedicated to his former wife Pauline Gundidza.
The track was voted the best song and music video for 2007 at Zimbabwe Music Awards. This catapulted him to stardom in Zimbabwe and the region.
He is famous for dropping hit songs and is also reputed for good workmanship with several musicians as most other artistes wish to feature him on their new songs.
The Susana hit maker then took part in this year's edition of BBA where he had the potential to walk away with the hefty prize of $300 000.
He was unfortunately disqualified following an altercation with fellow Zimbabwean housemate Maneta. Roki is known for his flawless performances on stage.
