POLE dancer Beverly Sibanda and her Sexy Angels group left Chiredzi fans asking for more recently when she staged a three-day performance at Masiza Nengere Nightclub over the weekend.
Beverly, who is popularly known as Bev, impressed fans on her first visit to the small Lowveld town and she performed to a full house which was male-dominated, as men came in droves.
Overwhelmed by the outpouring of her fans, Bev had to perform for the third day despite having initially planned a two-day show.
She said she was impressed by the turnout by Chiredzi revellers as this was her first visit to the sugar-growing town.
"I was impressed with the number of fans who graced my show. At first I thought people in Chiredzi would go for Zaka Zaka's show as we clashed but my prayer was heard. We ended up performing for three days whilst we were supposed to have a two-day show," said Bev.
On that particular Friday, Bev's show coincided with Nicholas Zakaria's show which was held at Chitsanga Hall but the day belonged to Beverly who attracted more fans.
The Sexy Angels front lady said some disturbances happened on Sunday when she staged her third show as people whom she called "haters" tried to disrupt her show by unplugging speakers.
"Haters are everywhere, on Sunday they were disconnecting our speakers during the show. They wanted to frustrate my fans but their antics failed as people were patient enough to wait for the show to continue.
"Other beerhalls were left empty as people joined me at Masiza Nengere and I think that's the main reason why haters disconnected the public address system," she said.
Faniro Chivasa, a Chiredzi fan of the Sexy Angels, said he was pleased to witness the live performance of the Harare-based dance group.
"I enjoyed myself, the dancers are very good. The only problem with these artistes is they think Harare is the only place with fans but we proved Beverly wrong. She had to perform for three days because we want to see her perform," Faniro said.
Beverly, however, promised her fans another show in Chiredzi towards the end of March.
