Oliver Mtukudzi, Canada Concerts

Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi is arguably the most powerful creative force to emerge from Zimbabwe in the last three decades. Carefully balancing compelling rhythms and accessible melodies with insightful lyrics, Tuku has built a vast body of work that is politically and socially relevant, yet entertaining and accessible to a worldwide audience.
 
Throughout a career that spans more than 60 recordings and virtually every corner of the globe, he has remained committed to the live music scene of his homeland, where he and his band, The Black Spirits, continually play to enthusiastic audiences in even the most remote regions.

His sound, is a blend of traditional East African genres and modern subgenres of Afropop, including chimurenga and JIT, is known as "Tuku Music." Mtukudzi is a songwriter and a guitar player, and is well-known for his graceful onstage dance moves, which he performs while playing.

ALL three concerts are being presented by AFRICAN CANADIAN ARTS SOCIETY Supported by Slice Int and Stamcan on a campaign to raise money for donations to Zimbabwe for Organisations working with Orphans and challenged children,TICKETS have started selling in the respective Provinces and will sell out soon.

ALL concerts will be held in Theaters at an affordable fee and all concerts are family events and children are allowed: Children 6years and under are free and between 7 and 18years are half price so that parents can bring them to learn from our cultural ambassador.
