The country is set to witness another international artist in the form of Dancehall Reggae DJ, Elephantman who is set to jet into the country on Thursday morning for a live performance at the Glamis Arena.
Reporters caught up with the promoter of the show Clint Robinson of C&A Entertainment at the Glamis Arena where the stage was being erected.
Robinson said Zimbabweans should expect fireworks as the stage will be bigger with entry charges cheaper than the recent Sean Kingston show.
"We have dubbed this the winter warmer as elephant man is known for his energy and will share the stage with our own Maninja winky D and aother artists…..i believe this is the next stage as we are addressing the problems and disappointment brought by the Sean Kinston show," said Clint
Elephant man himself confirmed the show in a video posted on YouTube and promised his Zimbabwean fans a show full of energy.
Elephantman said, "Your Zimbabwe this is Elly the Energy Gad, im coming and lets get ready to jiggy ."
Born O'Neil Bryant 35 years ago in Seaview Gardens Jamaica and better known as the "Energy god," in Dancehall reggae circles, Elephantman started his career in the early 90's as a DJ with the Scare Dem crew before going solo in 2000. He has eight albums and boasts of over twelve international awards.
Elephantman joins the band wagon of international Reggae acts to grace the country in recent years such as Akon, Sean Paul, Sizzla, Capleton, Beenieman and T.O.K among others.
