Carl Joshua Ncube sets off to CAPE TOWN this week to BEGIN his mammoth 35 stand up comedy performances in 35 venues in 7 days as his OFFICIAL GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT.

The Zimbabwean comedian believes that this has been an amazing experience for him so far as the process of negotiating with 35 separate venues and setting up different comedy shows is beginning to hone his craft as a comedy producer.

"The skillset required to do what I am attempting will serve to help me in my new role as a comedy producer in Africa" said Carl Joshua Ncube.

The feat that the Zimbabwean comedian is about to embark on from 17-23 August has only been attempted by an Australian comedian in 2009 called Mark Murphy who performed 30 shows in 30 venues. Carl hopes to beat this record by 5 stating that this record is extra special because it is predominantly being done in a country without any stand up comedy clubs.

"We have had to start new and innovative comedy shows like comedy before movies, 2 drink minimum, breakfast comedy, late night comedy to name a few" said the comedian's manager and wife Nelsy Ncube.

The GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT begins on DAY 1 in Cape Town then DAY 2 sees Ncube perform in Johannesburg, DAY 3, 4 are in the Zimbabwean capital Harare, then day 5 see's Carl perform in Harare, Norton, Kadoma, Gweru and Bulawayo all on the same day, then Bulawayo is day 6 with the finale being in Victoria Falls on day 7.

Carl states that this project will break many personal records, national records besides the WORLD RECORD that Carl will have to submit many supporting documents to GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS before he knows his fate.

On one of the days Carl is set to perform 9 times on one day! People can find out about the comedy shows by visiting the comedians website www.carljoshuancube.com
