HARARE - Talent-search show, Starbrite is now screening on local television adding to people's enjoyment on Saturday nights.
From the best to the worst aspiring artists, Starbrite has it all on offer as they show a no holds-barred showcasing of talent in its raw form.
The show started showing on ZBC TV at 7pm last Saturday and will continue for the coming weeks.
Starbrite director Barney Mpariwa said everyone who auditioned will appear on television.
"We are currently showing preliminaries on television.
"People might be surprised on why some not-so-talented are being shown but we are giving everyone their 30 seconds of fame. Whether they did well or bad, everyone will get their chance," he said.
Mpariwa, a seasoned broadcaster conducted auditions in conjunction with Events Are Us and ZBC in September last year.
He however, said they are not in a position to reveal the judges as he feared to "compromise certain things." Finals would be held mid-year.
"These are only preliminaries, second and third rounds are yet to come paving way for airing of the finals sometime in June. Right now we are holding rehearsals with those that succeeded at the boot camp."
"However we will eliminate participants to achieve the required number," he said.
Rehearsals are taking place at Zimbabwe College of Music.
Starbrite is an equivalent to America's Got Talent and South Africa's Got Talent.
