The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has partnered DSTV to produce a new youth game show entitled, Warara Wasala, in a move expected to bring diversity and improve programmes aired by the national broadcaster.

Warara Wasala is a new look game show which sees the merger of technical staff from South Africa's DSTV and ZBCTV to bring on screen a vibrant youth show, where various games will be played with plenty of prizes on offer.
Media, Information and Publicity Minister, Webster Shamu accompanied by the ZBC Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Happison Muchechetere met the first contestants of the show.

Shamu commended the two media houses for venturing into the partnership, saying such synergies improve programme quality and diversity.

He also took time to applaud the Chinese government for pledging a state of the art Outside Broadcasting (OB) van, saying this will expedite the transmission of programmes as the unit is digitalised and uses satellite transmission.

Zimbabwe is currently on a drive to switch over from the analogue system of transmission to digital before the year 2015, a move which will improve transmission quality.

Sino-Zim relations date back to the liberation struggle and continue to exist in various sectors of the economy such as mining, agriculture, business and education.
