Two-year-old dies in shack fire in SA

A two-year-old child was killed after 10 shacks caught fire in Lansdowne in Cape Town on Sunday, fire and rescue services said.
Fire-fighters extinguished the blaze in Flamingo informal settlement around 05:00 and found the burnt body in a shack, spokesperson Theo Lyne said.
He could not immediately provide further details on the dead child.
Lyne said the incident left 16 people displaced.
"The cause of the fire is not known and it will be investigated by the relevant authorities," he said.
