Johannesburg - Robbery accused Bongani Moyo will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Friday on a charge of escaping from custody.
Moyo's trial was adjourned on Tuesday to allow him time to read and understand the documented court proceedings of August 10, 2011, the day he escaped.
He made headlines when he walked out of the court on August 10, while on crutches. He was arrested three weeks later.
He told the court he staged his escape because a policeman had threatened to kill him. He was scared the policeman was going to carry out the threat.
It was not the Zimbabwean's first escape attempt. In March 2011, he slipped out of Boksburg prison. He was arrested almost three months later.
