Three Zimbabweans on Tuesday appeared before a Botswana magistrate in Maun, charged with the murder of a Motswana, Baitirile Ipolokeng, over an unspecified issue.
A Botswana newspaper, Ngami Times, reported yesterday that the trio, Thandolenkosi Khumalo (20), Talent Mguni (20) and Mlungisi Khumalo (23), were not asked to plead to a murder charge when they appeared before Maun chief magistrate Mompati Taolo.
They were remanded in custody to April 17 for continuation of trial pending investigations into the alleged murder.
The trio is detained at Maun State Prison.
It is the State case that on March 31, they met at Thitoyamokodi ward in Maun and allegedly connived to kill Baitirile Ipolokeng (age not given) over differences that are not yet clear.
