CONTROVERSIAL man of the cloth prophet Paseka Motsoeneng, popularly known as Prophet Mboro, has gone to court in a desperate bid to prohibit the media from hanging his dirty linen out in public again.

Prophet Mboro has applied for an interim court order in the South Gauteng High Court to gag print and electronic media from publishing or broadcasting anything that could incite violence against him.

This after the media reported a series of controversial stories about him. The stories ranged from his questionable healing methods, sex scandals and his troubles with the law.

Sunday World published a story saying Prophet Mboro plunged his fingers into the private parts of sickly women who attended his church services at his Incredible Happening Church near Alberton, Ekurhuleni, to banish demons that possessed them.

The exposé was followed by a Sowetan story about his causing a stir at the Urban Brew studio in Johannesburg when he rocked up for a shoot accompanied by an army of people said to be his bodyguards. The man of God, Prophet Mboro has also taken the fight to the Vaal-based Thetha FM , its staff and listeners.

He says the station's employees and listeners have accused him of practising satanism and prohibited him from entering the station's premises where he used to host a religious show.

According to the order all these media houses have until today at 4pm to oppose it. Failure to do so will result in the final order being granted.
