Armed robbers hit Johannesburg mall, terrorise customers

Johannesburg - A group of armed men robbed a mall in Fourways, Johannesburg South Africa, stealing an undisclosed amount of money, and cellphones and wallets from customers, SABC radio reported on Sunday.
Police spokesperson warrant officer Balan Muthan told the broadcaster a shootout ensued when police arrived on the scene on Saturday night.
"The suspects in their attempt to flee also hijacked a motor vehicle, which was recovered."
Police arrested one man and confiscated his gun. A detective unit had been appointed to the case to track down the remaining robbers.
