Man stabbed to death trying to protect his girlfriend

Johannesburg - A South African man has been stabbed to death in Zola, Soweto in South Africa, allegedly by someone harassing his girlfriend, Gauteng police said on Monday.
"Last night [Sunday] a man was walking with his girlfriend in Zola when they met an unknown man who started troubling the girlfriend," Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
"Her boyfriend was trying to protect her when the unknown man took out a knife and stabbed the boyfriend in the upper body. The boyfriend, in his 30s, died on the scene."
The couple had been walking to a 24-hour shop to buy food at around 23:00.
Police are looking for the knifeman.
