The SADC Extra-Ordinary Troika Summit that was scheduled to start this Thursday to discuss political developments in Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Lesotho and the Democratic Republic of Congo has been re-scheduled for Friday morning.

Although most leaders are already in the Angolan capital, Luanda, the Chairperson to the Troika, South African President Jacob Zuma has not yet arrived in Angola due to commitments in his country but is expected this Thursday.

This means that the SADC Extra-Ordinary Summit will be held soon after the Troika, and currently, the SADC Council of Ministers is in session putting final touches on the agenda of the SADC Summit.

Early this Thursday, Zambian President, Michael Sata paid a courtesy call on President Robert Mugabe in Luanda.

However, the two leaders could not speak to journalists on their meeting.

Leaders of the MDC formations, Professors Author Mutambara and Welshman Ncube are expected to attend the Troika and will arrive this Thursday evening, while Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is already in Luanda.
