The Speaker of Zimbabwe's House of Assembly, Lovemore Moyo is in Mozambique for a Plenary Session of National Parliaments from the SADC region which began on Monday and ends on Sunday.

Moyo is the current chairperson of the SADC Parliamentary Forum after being elected in Namibia in 2010.

Moyo is leading a Zimbabwean delegation which includes three MPs from the MDC and two from Zanu-PF and senior Parliament of Zimbabwe officials.

Speaking from Maputo today, Moyo said the session meets bi-annually, in the first and second quarters of the year.

"We discuss various issues of national interest like trade protocols and people's free movement within the region. However, the most important objective of this session is to transform the Parliamentary Forum into a fully fledged legislative authority." he said.
