Man in court for raping his mother

HOEDSPRUIT - A man appeared in the Acornhoek Magistrate Court in South Africa for allegedly raping his mother.
A 28-year-old man appeared in the Acornhoek Magistrate Court on a charge of rape.
It is alleged that the suspect raped his mother who was sleeping in the family's sitting room on Thursday night at around 22:00.
'The victim was sleeping in the sitting room while her husband slept in their room. It is reported that the victim only noticed that it was her son who violated her, when he went out of the house through the window,' said Acornhoek Police spokesperson Lieutenant Mpho Koli.
Koli said the suspect was remanded in investigations continue.
In another rape incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested and charged for the rape of his 16-year-old neighbour.
'It is alleged that the suspect took the victim from her home at midday to his home where he raped her several times before taking her back home at midnight,' said Koli.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
