Cape Town - South Africans have been urged to vote for the Table Mountain as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
Twenty-eight natural wonders are on the New Seven Wonders of Nature campaign list competing to be named one of the top seven wonders of nature, after 440 submissions were initially received in 2007.
Although it is not clear what Table Mountain's precise position is on the list, organisers have confirmed that it is currently in the last 14.
Other entries include Mount Kilimanjaro - the only other finalist from Africa - the Black Forest in Germany, the Galapagos Islands and Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
New7Wonders programme manager in South Africa, Fiona Furey, said there is still plenty of time to vote for Table Mountain.
South Africans sometimes take a while to wake up, she said.
Voting closes officially on November 11.
