Cop guns down drunk driver

Police in South Africa are investigating after a traffic officer shot and killed a suspected drunk driver, the EWN reported.
Kyle Weideman was pulled over on the N1 Highway near Brackenfell on Saturday on the suspicion of being drunk.
It is alleged he then attacked the traffic officer with a knife before the officer opened fire on him.
The police's Andre Traut says, "The circumstances around the death of the 22-year-old are being investigated."
Meanwhile, Western Cape traffic officials say 37 people have been arrested for drunk driving this weekend.
Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says, "We arrested 37 drunken drivers of which the highest reading was recorded in the Somerset area. We also arrested two people for reckless and negligent driving."
