SA Policewoman shot dead by husband

Johannesburg - A South African policewoman was killed in what is suspected to have been a murder-suicide incident in Protea Glen Ext 11 on Monday morning, Soweto police said.
The 37-year-old officer had just arrived home when she was shot by her husband with her State service firearm, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
She was shot in the upper body and died at the scene, Makhubela said.
The husband then went outside the house where he vandalised the officer's Renault Sandero before turning the gun on himself.
He also died at the scene.
Makhubela said the motive of the killing was not known.
Their 15-year-old son was found at the home when police arrived and he was now receiving counselling.
An inquest docket and a murder case have been opened.
