Sarafina! creator Mbongeni Ngema and Ukhozi FM presenter Nonhlanhla "Mroza" Buthelezi's marriage may be facing a crisis.
Mroza has become a born-again Christian and reportedly has started feeling uncomfortable with polygamy.
She said when she started worshipping at Resurrection Centre Ministries the church opened her eyes to the 'bad decisions' she has made.
"If in God's eyes my relationship with Mbongeni is not good he will end things between us." She said she didn't know better before getting involved with Mbongeni who she married the traditional way.
"All I can say is I was blind but now I can see. I've matured and learnt my lessons. I am in a better position to help women who might be in a similar position as me," Mroza said.
Last month, Mroza held a prayer session for celebrities when she said many get into ugly relationships because they want to project an image.
"We want fame, money and stability. As a result, we find ourselves stuck in bad relationships," she said.
Mroza joined the church last year and said she was waiting for the Lord to end things between her and Mbongeni because her church didn't allow her to perform the traditional rituals she used to do.
"The Lord might teach me other ways to cope with polygamy or might instruct me to leave this relationship," she said.
"I still respect Mbongeni as a husband but this is the life I have chosen. I will not compromise my faith. There are things I am no longer able to do because the Bible prohibits them."
Mbongeni said he expected Mroza to continue performing her wifely duties.
"I support her choice but I expect her to perform her duties according to our traditions," he said.
Mbongeni Ngema is apparently working on marrying his next wife, 28-year old Phumla Ndlovu from Emzinyathi, near Ndwedwe.
"I've paid lobola for Phumla but the date of the wedding has not been set. We just haven't discussed the details," Ngema said.
Sources said Phumla and Ngema are inseparable. He showers her with gifts and money. "Just a week ago Ngema deposited R100 000 spending money into her bank account," said a close relative.
"All my wives are aware of the new wife and have accepted her as one of their own," said Ngema.
Phumla also confirmed that she's getting married.
"I'm in love with Ngema and we will be getting married soon," she said.
She insisted she was not scared of the challenges of marrying a man with many wives.
Three more women are apparently waiting to get married to Ngema. They are Cat Mpanza, Nompumelelo Gumede and Saleha Nxumalo.
