Innovative ANCYL launches SMS alert service

The ANCYL has launched an SMS alert service which will provide daily political, organisational and political updates at a cost of R3 a week.
The league says it is "proud is this communication method because it is direct communication and will stop the media distortions experienced in the past."

"For subscribers to receive daily sms updates from the ANC Youth League, they should text the words ANCYLGP to the number 37499 if they are in Gauteng."

The codes for other provinces are:

ANCYLKZN for KwaZulu Natal

ANCYLLL for Limpopo

ANCYLNW for North West

ANCYLFS for Free State

ANCYLWC for Western Cape

ANCYLEC for Eastern Cape

ANCYLNC for Northern Cape

"Upon sending the code to 37499, Subcribers will receive a message saying "Welcome to the ANC Youth League SMS Alert service, to confirm subscription at R3 per week, reply "yes" T&C apply. From there on, subscribers will receive daily updates on ANC YL politics, news and organisational issues. All members, supports, sympathisers, and all South Africans interested in getting correct direct information and updates about the ANC Youth League are encouraged to subscribe."
