Baby found in school bag

Johannesburg - A baby boy estimated to be a few days old was found in a school bag in Batho near Bloemfontein, Free State police said on Tuesday.
Constable Thabo Litabe said a woman sweeping her yard found the baby on Monday morning.
"She did not see the person who had left the bag unattended and became suspicious when she heard the screaming sounds that came from it," he said.
The woman went on to investigate and found a little boy inside the bag, wrapped in a blanket.
A case of attempted murder has been opened.
The boy was taken to Pelonomi Hospital.
